Invisible Adjunct

I was at a political dinner the other night and ran into some old students of mine from the brief time I taught as an adjunct in a post-graduate program.

I'm a J.D., and almost all of my writing is what is referred to as accessible (almost, not all, I've a few heavily footnoted articles), so I'm not a traditional academic.

But running into them, and they remember me quite fondly (I can really teach well), made me remember when I had dreams of teaching more.

But, the moment passed, and visiting here it is pretty obvious that it has really, really passed.

Reading all the things that have happened to people here is one of the saddest things I've done in recent times (say the last five years).
