Because I left out Colonel Brandon in the one just below.
Posted by Invisible Adjunct at March 9, 2004 08:46 PMHow could this be? Ok, I'll accept Darcy as number one, but how, how, how could Colonel Brandon pass the tormented, manly Wentworth?

Sorry I left out Colonel Fitwilliam.
"Willoughby scores higher than Bingley! Ack."
Bingley is certainly better husband material. Put it down to the "cads versus dads" issue.
Damn you (in the nicest possible way) IA -- I have already too much to do over break (two new preps and ancient relative responsibilities ...) and now I find I must also re-read JA. Aargh. Ok, maybe not all of them, but enough to remember all the iffy men. And then, I think we should make a "positives/negatives" list for each of them.
No, it's not the last day of classes and I'm not avoiding grading term papers. Really, I'm not. Much.
BTW (also not avoiding grading papers last weekend), the newest Terry Pratchett is pretty good, but not his absolute best.
